Ghostwalking

Ghostwalking

Ghost walking in my shoes
Ghost strums along my blues
Rides on through electric dawn
And drives on

Encircle me with barbed wire
Imprison me with chains
Nourish me on belladonna
And bathe me in the acid rain

Sidewalk grows below my feet
And I go through the world and hardly ever sleep
And I see things no one can hear
And hear things that people fear

Wrapped up in your nightmares
Gotten lost in your dreams
I know your myth
And all that you lay down
And I could sell it back

Siren rings within my head
Shaman tell me, am I dead?
I see you've gotten lost behind the mask
And your fingers fumble for the clasp

And I wonder can the soul survive
Slip free the traps and come back alive
Or maybe ...
Not
